JOB PURPOSE:

Lincoln College International (LCI) is seeking a specialist trainer with expertise in Explosives Plant Operations and Chemical Defense Technologies, with capabilities in Coating Technologies, Chemical Finishing and Inspection and Analytical Techniques for Chemical Defense. Training delivery will primarily be situated within the context of defense systems, ensuring relevance to applications across defense facilities.

The successful candidate will prepare, deliver, and assess training supporting the progression of trainees into specialist roles within the industry.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, candidates will be required to undergo enhanced background security checks as part of the recruitment process.

Good competency in English is mandatory. Non-native candidates must provide proof of English competency through IELTS, TOEFL, STEP, or a similar language exam. 

An offer of employment will be made subject to final approval from the client.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training & Course Delivery

  1. Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical training in a range of modules, including:

    • Explosives Plant Operations and Troubleshooting

    • Coating Technologies

    • Chemical Finishing Processes and Inspection

    • Analytical Techniques and Experimentation in Chemical Defense

    • Chemical Process Technology

    • Melting and Mixing Technology

  2. Design and implement engaging, hands-on lessons, workshops, and assessments that align with industry standards and best practices.

  3. Ensure training is industry-focused, with a strong emphasis on real-world applications and technical competencies.

  4. Assess trainees’ practical and theoretical understanding, providing structured feedback to support learning and skill development.

  5. Maintain high teaching and learning quality standards through peer reviews and lesson observations.

  6. Actively engage and motivate trainees, fostering technical excellence and professional behaviors.

Course & Program Development

  1. Manage course content and success rates, ensuring effective learning outcomes.

  2. Develop and refine training materials to align with industry advancements and regulatory requirements.

  3. Contribute to developing and enhancing LCI’s training programs, ensuring they remain at the cutting edge of technology and best practices.

Quality Assurance & Assessment                                                  

  1. Conduct assessments and internal verification and maintain documentation in compliance with LCI policies.

  2. Ensure the safety, functionality, and upkeep of training equipment, tools, and lab facilities.

Trainee Engagement & Support

  1. Organize enrichment activities, including industry visits, guest lectures, and hands-on projects.

  2. Support the selection, recruitment, and enrollment of trainees into LCI programs.

  3. Provide guidance, mentorship, and career support to trainees, ensuring their success in the program and progression into employment.

  4. Promote equal opportunities, safeguarding, and welfare within the training environment.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  1. Work as part of a flexible training team, collaborating with colleagues to enhance the learning experience.

  2. Stay updated with industry and pedagogical advancements through continuous professional development and training.

Training & Development

Candidates without a formal teaching qualification will be expected to complete a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (supported by LCI) within six months of starting. Additionally, opportunities for further professional development and industry certification will be provided. Those meeting the minimum educational qualifications, but lacking work experience may be considered for the Saudi Junior Teacher Development Program. 

SALARY AND BENEFITS (NON-NEGOTIABLE):

  • Base salary SAR 17,000 per month TAX FREE

  • Housing allowance SAR 4,250 per month TAX FREE

  • Transportation allowance SAR 500 per month TAX FREE

  • Flight allowance SAR 500 per month TAX FREE

Monthly Gross Salary – 22,250 SAR

Additional Benefits:

  • Onboarding flights (if hired from outside KSA)

  • Private healthcare insurance

  • Visa costs covered (if hired from outside KSA)

  • Iqama (Resident Permit) transfer costs will be covered by LCI, if the candidate is inside KSA

  • 30 days Annual Leave per annum

  • End of Service Award upon successfully completing the contract

Job requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in explosives plant operations, coatings and finishing, chemical inspection or chemical laboratory analysis, ideally within a manufacturing, production or defense setting.

  • Minimum of Diploma (or equivalent) in Chemical Technology, Explosives Technology, Material Science or a related field; or recognized professional certifications in a related field, such as:

    • Certified Chemical Technician (American Chemical Society or equivalent)

    • NACE / AMPP Certification in Coatings Inspection or Cathodic Protection

    • Hazardous Materials Handling Certification (HazMat, OSHA standards)

    • Certified Explosives Operator / Specialist Training (e.g. IME, SAFEX)

  • Excellent communication skills and motivation to engage and inspire trainees (A CEFR B1 ability in English is required).

  • Enhanced security clearance will be required.

  • Understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices.

 

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in one or more of the following: Troubleshooting and process optimization in explosives plants, coatings application, masking, inspection and failure analysis in defense settings, surface preparation and chemical finishing quality control, thermochemical analysis and material characterization techniques.

  • Prior teaching or training experience in a technical or vocational setting.

  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, PGCE, or equivalent).

  • Experience with use of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies.

  • Experience with assessing and internal verification.

  • End-Point Assessment (EPA) experience or an assessor qualification such as CAVA (Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement) or TAQA.

  • Industry-recognized certifications, such as:

    • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).

    • Project Management certification such as PMP or PRINCE 2 practitioner.
