JOB PURPOSE:

 

Lincoln College International (LCI) is seeking a specialist trainer with expertise in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) of Land-based systems, including armored vehicles, tactical support equipment and heavy machinery to join our training team in Riyadh. This role is instrumental in delivering hands-on training on MRO methodologies, preventive maintenance, lifecycle management, failure analysis, diagnostics, repair strategies and overhaul processes for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and structural systems used in land-based defense systems. The role will focus on delivering training relating to operational readiness, reliability and sustainment of land systems, covering powertrains, propulsion, weapon integration, electrical distribution and structural integrity. The successful candidate will prepare, deliver, and assess training supporting the progression of trainees into specialist roles within the industry. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, candidates will be required to undergo enhanced background security checks as part of the recruitment process. Good competency in English is mandatory. Non-native candidates must provide proof of English competency through IELTS, TOEFL, STEP, or a similar language exam. An offer of employment will be made subject to final approval from the client.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Training & Course Delivery

  • Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical training in a range of modules, including:

  1. MRO principles for land-based defense systems

  2. Preventive maintenance techniques and Condition-based monitoring and predictive analytics

  3. Diagnostics and repair methodologies, focusing on fault detection, troubleshooting and execution of repairs under stringent timelines

  4. Overhaul procedures including structural integrity assessments, corrosion prevention, component refurbishment and lifecycle extension strategies.

  5. Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis

  6. Safety, Quality Control, Compliance standards and Emerging technologies in MRO

  7. Inventory control, procurement and logistics strategies for maintaining operational efficiency.

  • Design and implement engaging, hands-on lessons, workshops, and assessments that align with industry standards and best practices.

  • Ensure training is industry-focused, with a strong emphasis on real-world applications and technical competencies.

  • Assess trainees’ practical and theoretical understanding, providing structured feedback to support learning and skill development.

  • Maintain high teaching and learning quality standards through peer reviews and lesson observations.

  • Actively engage and motivate trainees, fostering technical excellence and professional behaviour.

Course & Program Development

  • Manage course content and success rates, ensuring effective learning outcomes.

  • Develop and refine training materials to align with industry advancements and regulatory requirements.

  • Contribute to developing and enhancing LCI’s training programs, ensuring they remain at the cutting edge of technology and best practices.

Quality Assurance & Assessment       

  • Conduct assessments and internal verification and maintain documentation in compliance with LCI policies.

  • Ensure the safety, functionality, and upkeep of training equipment, tools, and lab facilities.

Trainee Engagement & Support

  • Organize enrichment activities, including industry visits, guest lectures, and hands-on projects.

  • Support the selection, recruitment, and enrollment of trainees into LCI programs.

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and career support to trainees, ensuring their success in the program and progression into employment.

  • Promote equal opportunities, safeguarding, and welfare within the training environment.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Work as part of a flexible training team, collaborating with colleagues to enhance the learning experience.

  • Stay updated with industry and pedagogical advancements through continuous professional development and training.

 

Undertake such other duties commensurate with the level of the post as may be required from time to time.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in MRO of land-based defense systems, including armored vehicles, tactical equipment or heavy-duty transport systems.

  • Minimum of Diploma (or equivalent) in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, Defense Technology or a related field. Or a recognized professional certification in a related field, for example:

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) – SMRP

  • Certified Heavy Vehicle Technician - ASE

  • Excellent communication skills and motivation to engage and inspire trainees (A CEFR B1 ability in English is required).

  • Enhanced security clearance will be required.

  • Understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices.

 

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience of working with more than one of the following systems: Engines, Drivetrain and mobility systems, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, Electrical and Electronic systems, Weapon systems integration, Structural integrity and corrosion prevention.

  • Prior teaching or training experience in a technical or vocational setting.

  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, PGCE, or equivalent).

  • Experience with use of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies.

  • Experience with assessing and internal verification.

  • End-Point Assessment (EPA) experience or an assessor qualification such as CAVA (Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement) or TAQA.

  • Industry-recognized certifications, such as:

  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).

  • Project Management certification such as PMP or PRINCE 2 practitioner.

  • Quality Control (CQT, ASQ)

Continues Professional Development

·         Candidates without a formal teaching qualification will be expected to complete a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (supported by LCI) within six months of starting. Additionally, opportunities for further professional development and industry certification will be provided. Those meeting the minimum educational qualifications but lacking work experience may be considered for the Saudi Junior Teacher Development Program.

SALARY AND BENEFITS (NON-NEGOTIABLE):

  • Base salary SAR 17,000 per month TAX FREE

  • Housing allowance SAR 4,250 per month TAX FREE

  • Transportation allowance SAR 500 per month TAX FREE

  • Flight allowance SAR 500 per month TAX FREE

Monthly Gross Salary – 22,250 SAR

·         Iqama (Resident Permit) transfer costs will be covered by LCI, if the candidate is inside KSA
