JOB PURPOSE:

 You will be responsible for overseeing and improving the quality of academic programs, services, and processes within a vocational college. 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Developing and Implementing QA Systems.

Creating and maintaining quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards for academic programs, student services, and administrative processes. 

Conducting Audits and Assessments.

Performing internal and external audits to assess compliance with established standards, regulations, and best practices. 

Ensuring Compliance.

Staying updated on relevant regulations, policies, and accreditation requirements, and ensuring that the institution adheres to them. 

Analysing Data and Reporting.

Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to relevant stakeholders. 

Providing Guidance and Training.

Offering expert advice and training to teachers, staff, and students on quality assurance processes and best practices. 

Driving Continuous Improvement.

Leading initiatives to improve the quality of academic programs, student experiences, and operational efficiency. 

Managing QA Teams.

Supervising and mentoring QA staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure the effective functioning of the QA team. 

Stakeholder Communication:

Communicating with various stakeholders, including teachers, staff, students, and external agencies, to address quality-related concerns and facilitate collaboration. 

Addressing Complaints and Feedback.

Investigating and resolving quality-related complaints and feedback from students and other stakeholders. 

Staying Current with Best Practices:

Keeping abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in quality assurance and higher education. 

Job requirements

·       Educated to Bachelor degree level or equivalent.

·       Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies.

·       Experience with quality management systems (QMS).

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·       Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

·       Knowledge of vocational education policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.

·       Leadership and management skills.
